Chin-Poon's new plant in Taoyuan, Taiwan has entered volume production, and the company is stepping up its efforts to recruit workers in order to ramp up its capacity, Huang noted.
Meanwhile, Chin-Poon will also start ramping up the production of multilayer boards at its Thailand-based subsidiary Draco PCB Public from the third quarter of 2015. The plant will solicit more orders from clients in Southeast Asia.
Chin-Poon's R&D expenses are expected to total NT$114 million (US$3.7 million) in 2015, Huang revealed.
Automotive boards currently account for 72% of Chin-Poon's total sales, followed by industrial boards 12%, networking boards 5%, and consumer boards 5%. Additionally, Chin-Poon also ranks as the second-largest auto board supplier globally with an 11% share.
China-Poon posted revenues of NT$21.3 billion in 2014, up 10.3% on year. Net profits edged up 1.31% to NT$1.77 billion in 2014, which translated into an EPS of NT$4.45 for the year.
