EMS stocks were mostly down during the fourth quarter of 2015, according to Lincoln International's latest EMS Stock Index report.
In the report, the large index (Tier 1: Companies with revenue greater than $3 billion) increased only by 0.5% from the previous quarter. The mid index (Tier 2: Revenue from $300 million to $3 billion) decreased by 9.1% quarter-on-quarter, while the small index (Tier III: Revenue below $300 million) fell by 4%.

In the winners' circle, Celestica Inc. led the Tier 1, gaining 2%. SMTC Corp., on the other hand, went up by 5%, topping the Tier III for the quarter. In the mid segment, Benchmark Electronics¡ªwhich actually declined by 14% for the quarter¡ªled the Tier II group.
The worst performers include Sanmina Corp. (-15%) for the top tier; Key Tronic Corp. (-29%) for Tier II; and Nortech Systems Inc. (-21%) for the small index group.
