D-Link to cooperate with India state government

Networking/communication device vendor D-Link will cooperate with the government of Telangana State, central India, to set up a technological education and R&D center to train locals as well as a user experience center to promote D-Link products and technology in the India market, according to the company.

In addition, D-Link will cooperate with the government in wireless and fixed-line Internet infrastructure, network security, IPv6 and cloud computing in Hyderabad, a city in the state, the company said.

D-Link entered the India market in 1990 and has established a marketing network of more than 80 channels and over 2,000 sales agents, the company indicated.
