Opening a new phase in IPC’s long-term efforts to educate policy makers and address issues that affect our industry, this week, IPC launched a new websiteand recruitment campaign for the IPC Political Action Committee (IPC PAC).
In the United States, Political Action Committees (PACs) are transparent, regulated entities in which U.S. citizens and individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence may join together to make political contributions to candidates.
The IPC PAC supports pro-manufacturing candidates based on their positions on key policy issues. In the 2016 election cycle, the mission of the IPC PAC is to grow so that it can support more candidates who share our views on key issues such as environment; science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education; R&D investment; regulatory reform; and tax.
IPC will work with member companies regarding the IPC PAC. Participation in the IPC PAC is purely voluntary. Getting involved or not with the IPC PAC, will have no impact on anyone’s professional status or relationship with IPC.
