Taiwan PCB Production to Post Marginal Growth in 2015

Taiwan's PCB production value is expected to register a slight 1.46% year-on-year growth in 2015, according to data compiled by the Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA), as reported by Digitimes. Affected by a slowdown in demand for PCs, smartphones and notebooks in the end-market, the total production value is expected to reach just NT$571.3 billion ($17.59 billion).

In the second quarter of 2015, the production value of PCB products rolled out by Taiwan-based firms in Taiwan and China totaled NT$137.7 billion, up 1.8% sequentially and 1.1% on year.

Buoyed by seasonal effects, the production value in the third quarter is expected to grow 5.9% on quarter but still represent a decline of 4.3% on year.
